Orders, delivery notes and invoices represent different stages of a commercial transaction. An order need not be delivered in full on one day, and an invoice does not mean payment has arrived. Keeping these distinctions clear separates outstanding work from completed sales.
Material records provide shared product identifiers for purchases and sales. Customer and supplier accounts hold the corresponding receivables and payables. Duplicating a product splits its stock balance; duplicating a customer makes the total amount owed harder to see in one place.
Cloud Lite does not require an in-house ERP server. Global search helps locate records, a digital advisor assists with usage questions, and mobile access is available. Teams working from different locations can use the same records, reducing confusion caused by outdated lists sent in files or emails.
WORKFLOW
A sales document connects the customer and product. Goods movements affect stock, invoices affect receivables, and payments reduce the amount outstanding. Sales value and unpaid value therefore have distinct meanings.
Cloud Lite covers sales, purchasing, materials and finance; Cloud Basic adds general accounting. Daily balance tracking and posting to a chart of accounts are different tasks. Basic and Standard provide broader coverage when the business also needs its general ledger within the ERP.
The choice depends on deployment, manufacturing requirements and customisation, as well as business size. T-Series, J-Series, N-Series and Cloud can all cover manufacturing; the available functions depend on the selected package and modules.

An incomplete opening stock balance leaves quantities wrong even when later sales are recorded correctly. An incorrect opening customer balance similarly carries into subsequent transactions. The accuracy of these initial records directly affects everyday results.
Cloud Lite is delivered as an online service. Start 3 is locally installed and limited to one user. Their bookkeeping purposes overlap, but their access and operating models differ.
